(approx. 23 x 18cm) white buckram hardback with gilt titles to spine and gilt monogram and blind-stamped borders to upper board. t.e.g. x, 190pp. plus original signed etching (with tissue-guard) as frontispiece, 12 colour plates, 4 b/w plates and 20 plates printed in black on a background colour, all by Thomas Mackenzie. Illustrator's signature in pencil beneath original etching. Two small numbers in purple pencil to foot of Thornton-East section title page. Very slight tanning to untrimmed foredge otherwise remarkably clean and bright. A few faint spots of soiling to covers, else a VERY GOOD, HANDSOME COPY.
