FIRST THUS 2 Volumes, complete. 8vo. contemporary half tan calf with raised bands, decorative gilt, dark brown title and Volume labels, gilt, with marbled boards. All edges marbled. Both volumes with engraved title pages and portrait frontispieces plus Volume I has b/w engraved plates within the text. Both volumes have ink signature and date (1831) to title page over erased previous inscription which has left paper rather thin. Slight worming to first few pages of Volume I. Some light foxing, occasionally heavier. Title label edges of Volume I a little chipped and some light rubbing and scratches to spines. Marbled boards rather rubbed. Overall a VERY GOOD, HANDSOME SET.
