Ink presentation inscription, dated 1896, to blank facing title page, partially erased in signature to top of front pastedown, and previous bookseller's pencil notes to ffep. 2cm. strip removed from top of title page. Small closed triangular tear to p.191. Occasional light foxing, heavier to prelims and untrimmed foredge. Slight mottling to rebacked spine and some rubbing and slight loss to title label edges. Original marbled boards vrather rubbed and soiled (please see photos). A VERY GOOD COPY.
